Become a Volunteer

At House of Hope an enormous amount of our work depends on volunteers coming to help us. We need people to give up their time to come to us all year round. Our staff, residents and children love to see new volunteers arriving so they very quickly become a part of our community. Volunteers can fulfill one or many roles at House of Hope, mainly:

  • Houseparenting – A Houseparent fulfills all the roles that a parent would do for a child at home e.g. meal preparation, washing, dressing, cleaning and playing.
  • Working in administration – The office staff at House of Hope are always grateful for help. Helping out in the office volunteers can do such tasks as researching new sponsors, publicity, fund raising and arranging business meetings. Volunteers who speak a language other than Arabic are welcome to facilitate communication with international donors.
  • Volunteers can help out in our school.
  • Lots of maintenance and repair work is always going on at House of Hope and an extra pair of hands is appreciated.

Becoming a volunteer is a very rewarding job as you experience first hand the impact the work of House of Hope has on people’s lives and share in their joys. Both short and long-term placements are available, part-time and full-time, and teams are welcome. All volunteers are welcome. However we are particularly in need of volunteers with skills in the area of special needs education, nutrition and child psychology. If you would like to volunteer please fill out this form and email it to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
